When selecting a service online, a list of appropriate enhancements will be provided before finalizing the appointment. Additional time may be required for some enhancements, that time will be automatically added to the schedule.

If you choose to add an enhancement when you arrive for your appointment, I will be happy to add anything that time will allow.

Policies

REMINDER POLICY
Clients who provide email addresses will receive an email reminder 1 day prior to their next scheduled appointment.  This is an automated service for your convenience. Your email address is not shared or sold to other companies or organizations.  Those who choose not to share an email address for scheduling purposes will not receive appointment reminders.

ILLNESS POLICY
Your health and mine are very important to me. To avoid illness from spreading I ask all clients to be aware of this Illness Policy.

On the day of your appointment, if you are experiencing a fever, nausea, or diarrhea, please reschedule your appointment to a date and time when you are healthy enough to receive therapy.
Also, we discourage clients from receiving massage if you have taken a pain medication within 6 hours or antibiotic within 24 hours.

If you arrive to your appointment and I feel your health is compromised in some way, I will happily reschedule your appointment for a later date with no penalty to you.

PRENATAL POLICY
Massage Therapy is perfectly safe for pregnant women. I urge women who are pregnant or may be pregnant to maintain regular physician check-ups for their safety and the safety of the baby. Pregnant women who become unexpectedly ill should see their physician prior to receiving massage to assure therapy is acceptable.

Preeclampsia is an illness involving unexpected high blood pressure that often effects the woman's kidneys. It is an example of a medical condition where massage therapy is not recommended. Other conditions when massage is discouraged would include women who are at high risk of miscarriage or have a high-risk pregnancy such as placental abruption (where the placenta slightly detaches from the wall of the uterus) or preterm labor.

LATENESS POLICY
The appointment time you have scheduled is reserved especially for you. Should you arrive to your appointment after the scheduled time, you will be charged the full fee for the appointment time that was originally schedule. I can not guarantee that the session will be extended beyond the original time. If time allows you may be given the option to extend the service beyond the scheduled time at no additional charge. If time is limited, you will be given the option to reschedule. There will be a $30 rescheduling fee assessed if you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment time.

If your appointment start time is delayed because of my timing error, you will only be charged for the actual hands on time you receive. If time allows you may be given the option to extend the service beyond the scheduled time at no additional charge. If time is limited, you will be given the option to reschedule your full appointment with a $15 discount.

CANCELATION POLICY
A $30 fee will be charged for any cancelations made with fewer than 2 hours notice. Appointments scheduled and subsequently canceled in the same day will be charged in full. Appointments canceled with no notice will be charged in full. If you do need to cancel with less than 2 hours notice, the fee may be waived if you contact me to reschedule within 48 hours. Any fees accrued for canceled appointments must be paid in full prior to the scheduling of any future appointments. If you have questions about our cancelation policy, please do not hesitate to contact me.

PAYMENT POLICY
Payment for all service is due at the time of service. I accept cash debit and most major credit cards. I do accept personal checks, however any checks returned for insufficient funds will be billed the full service fee plus a $10 banking fee. If your account is not made current in 15 days of receiving the NSF notice from the bank, an additional $20 late payment fee will be added to your account. No further appointments will be schedule until your account is made current. Once the account is current, all future payments must be with cash or credit card.

Terms of Service:

  • Scheduling

    • SCHEDULING METHODS:

    • REMINDERS:

      • Immediately upon scheduling, you will receive a confirmation email that includes the details about your appointment.

      • The day prior to your appointment, you will receive a reminder email about your appointment.

      • No other forms of confirmation or reminders are available at this time. Appointments made in studio will receive an appointment card upon request.

    • SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS:

      • One of the benefits to being a Member is the availability of same day appointments. The following policy applies.

        • Members will be offered same day availability in whatever time increments are available.

        • Same day availability may not be available via online scheduling. Once the “open” threshold of appointments is reached online, all other availability is blocked off to allow for member only appointments. Members are encouraged to text or voicemail same day requests if time is not available online.

        • If the times available are not possible for the Member, next business day availability will be offered.

        • Same day availability is limited to Tuesday – Saturday between 10:30am – 8:30pm except blackout dates.

        • No refunds will be given if same day availability does not coordinate with the Member’s schedule.

    • BLACKOUT DATES (2017):

      • January 1, March 23 – 24, March 30 – April 1, April 14, July 4, September 9, October 6 – 21, November 23 – 25, December 22 – 23.

      • Other dates may arise over the course of the year due to illness or scheduling conflicts. These dates will be made public on the website www.massagestudioonmain.com or the Massage Studio on Main Facebook page.

    • Additional Minutes:

      • If, before the end of the Membership Period, the Member uses all the allotted minutes of their membership, appointments may still be made using the Membership Number with a 10% discount taken off the standard rate.

      • Additional coupons or promotions are not valid with the Member Discount.

    • Gift Certificate Purchases:

      • Members receive a 15% discount on the purchase of any Gift Certificate during the Membership Period.

      • Members may use their Membership Number as a coupon code for this member benefit.

      • Please provide the name and email address (whenever possible) of the intended recipient with all Discounted Gift Certificate purchases.

      • Gift Certificates purchased using a Membership Number may not be used by the Member at any time (including after the Membership Period had ended).

      • Gift Certificates do not expire. They cannot be divided among multiple appointment times.

  • Appointment Policies:

    • CANCELLATION WITH LATE NOTICE

      • Appointments cancelled with less than a 4-hour notice will result in the deduction of ½ of the total minutes scheduled. (i.e. 30 minutes would be deducted from your available minutes if a 60-minute appointment is cancelled with fewer than 4 hours’ notice).

    • LATE ARRIVAL:

      • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment you will have the following options:

        • You may keep the original appointment receiving hands on therapy for the remainder of the time with the deduction of the full appointment time from your available minutes.

        • Reschedule the appointment to receive the full hands on therapy with a deduction of an additional 15 minutes from your available minutes.

        • Keep the original appointment extending the time beyond the original appointment time to receive the full hands on therapy time resulting in the deduction of the originally scheduled time plus the total number of minutes from the original beginning time.

    • NO-SHOW:

      • Appointments missed without notice will result in the deduction of the full amount of time scheduled. (i.e. 60 minutes will be deducted from your available minutes if you do not cancel or arrive for a 60-minute appointment).

    • CONDUCT:

      • Inappropriate language, conversation and behavior will not be tolerated in the Massage Studio on Main.

      • If, at any time during your Membership you or anyone sharing your membership displays inappropriate conduct the offending persons membership will be immediately cancelled under the terms of standard membership cancellation.

      • The offending person will no longer be permitted to schedule with the Massage Studio on Main.

  • Account Deactivation:

    • In the event of non-payment or credit card decline at any time during the Membership Period, the Membership will be deactivated until such time as the account is brought up to date or paid in full.

    • Deactivated Members will not be permitted to schedule appointments of any type until such time as the Membership is reconciled.

    • Deactivated Members will not be permitted to make retail or gift certificate purchases until such time as the Membership is reconciled.

    • Deactivate Members will not be permitted to attend paid events sponsored by the Massage Studio on Main until such time as the Membership is reconciled.

  • Membership Cancellation:

    • At any time during the Membership Period, the Member may cancel the Membership.

      • Cancellations made immediately upon registration (until such time as the Member exits the building) will be refunded in full.

      • Cancellations requested within 10 days of the initial agreement will be accepted and refunded for the full amount minus the registration fee.

      • A written notice of cancellation is required 30 days in advance of the next membership dues payment.

      • The Member will receive a balance due invoice for all services completed prior to the cancellation of the Membership. These services will be billed at the full regular rate. The amount received thus far in membership payments will be deducted from the total and the balance will be charged to the credit card on file.

      • Should the credit card on file be declined for any reason, a $10 NSF fee will be added and the updated invoice will be sent to the Member via certified mail. Payment on this account will be required in 30 days from receipt.

      • Should a Canceled Membership Account become delinquent, a second invoice will be sent to the Member with an additional $10 fee. This notice will also be shared with the Massage Studio on Main legal council.

      • Should a Canceled Membership Account become more than 60 days delinquent, the Member will be subpoenaed to appear in small claims court in an effort to resolve the unpaid account. At this point, no further business relationships will be permitted between the Massage Studio on Main and the delinquent Member.

  • Unused Membership Minutes

    • At the end of the Membership period, any unused minutes will roll over for 30 days following the final Membership payment.

    • After 30 days any unused minutes will expire.
